Receptionist Concierge

 The Escalante hotel is an upscale 11-bungalows luxury boutique hotel located in heart of Old Naples. Serving leisure and business travelers, this charming and unique property offers both nightly and extended stays.

The Escalante hotel is seeking an experienced, personable and reliable Receptionist Concierge  to staff the lobby reception desk. This vital position is the first face to meet and greet guests and to create the all-important first impression. In addition to at least two years of hotel experience, professionalism, efficiency, sophistication and poise are essential traits for this dynamic candidate.

The Receptionist Concierge provides an overall pleasant customer experience and represents the hotel graciously. The ideal candidate is a smart and trustworthy individual who can provide guests with a warm greeting and handle a wide variety of guest requests. He/she will anticipate guest needs, present the best accommodation/ promotions available and enter reservations in hotel system

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Book reservations, check guests in and out, and provide information regarding hotel services, room location, facilities, and amenities.
  • Answer phones, convey guest messages, advise guest of their mail, fax, etc.
  • Quote and sell rates. Process cancellations, revisions and changes.
  • Prepare guest folio, settle account upon departure.
  • Respond to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Prepare welcome packet for arriving guests.
  • Show suites and event spaces to prospective guests.
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to track room readiness or changes.
  • Work on multiple projects; assisting event coordinator and purchasing department. .
  • Book on site restaurant reservations for members and hotel guests.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by management

Requirements:

  • Communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to problem solve in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent personal presentation, interpersonal skills, professional telephone etiquette, computer competency
  • Compliance with company grooming, appearance and attire standards.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • Frequent standing behind the desk and in lobby areas.
  • A minimum of five years experience in Five Star Hotels.
  • Weekends Required
