Restaurant escapes: In the heart of Naples, a food lover's oasis
On a bustling Naples corridor, a hidden restaurant built into a hotel courtyard offers an oasis, and a menu of hand-crafted foods. Meet Veranda E.
Destination dining isn’t always about the journey, it’s about the feeling.
It’s about finding a table in a setting where, if you close your eyes and reopen them, you feel as if you’ve been transported to the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the European countryside or a far-off cosmopolitan city.
That’s the experience patrons have at Veranda E, a restaurant hidden within Hotel Escalante, a boutique hotel tucked behind tropical foliage just off the bustling Fifth Avenue South in Naples.
Dining at Veranda E is al fresco, poolside and encompasses an entire wing of the hotel’s celebrated courtyard. It conjures images of Beverly Hills, vintage Palm Beach or a villa along the Riviera.
The backdrop — or perhaps stage — includes an ornately tiled fountain, walls and trellises dripping with flowering vines, palm trees, and a variety of native and exotic plants. Elegant tables dressed in white linens and polished crystal fit intimately into almost every nook and cranny.
